First let’s acknowledge the really long post title. I have another post in the works that has an even longer one. You’ll know it when you see it :) Moving on!
LeSportsac Weekender and Packing for Kids
Part of what made our trip successful was how we packed and what we used to pack our stuff in. We packed the kids’ stuff in the LeSportsac Large Weekender in Fern, which is soo pretty. I love the relative neutral of the green and the subtle metallic on the straps. I see this lasting a really long time.
This might sound absolutely NUTS, but I figured out the kids’ outfits for every day beforehand and stuck them into individual Ziploc bags and labelled them. It was SO helpful because there was no thinking about what to put the kids in, no “Aiden, do you want the green shorts or the blue ones?” and it made it so easy to find things. Instead of tossing clothes around looking for something, we tossed around ziplocks with neatly folded clothing. Which by the way, also saves space because you can squeeze out the air. When you’re packing for two kids, one in diapers, and you’re not sure how long your trip is going to be, saving space is kind of a priority.
I also made separate bags for socks/underwear/pajamas and extra outfits, which surprisingly we didn’t need but if we hadn’t packed them then we definitely would have needed them.
The bag has four exterior pockets, one on each side. We used these for toiletries so they were separate and easy to find.
The LeSportsac Weekender also comes with a small zipper bag that we put all of the medication we could possibly need for the kiddies. If anything had leaked, it wouldn’t have gotten on the clothes and the bag is easily wiped clean. In fact, all LeSportsac products are. That’s one of my favorite things about them along with how light the bag itself is. This is a HUGE plus.
Another thing I really appreciated, is that LeSportsac bags are waterproof. With a zip closure (to discourage any handsy friends and keep anything from falling out), lots of slots for cards, a coin pocket and room for bills and receipts it’s your standard super functional wallet. What made it fantastic is that it kept all of my things dry during a torrential downpour. I’m talking BUCKETS. I’m keeping this as my travel wallet for sure.
LeSportsac Baby Bag
You’ll find my full review of the Ryan Baby Bag here. Eight months later and my love for it is still going strong, if not stronger because of what I (slash Aiden and Mia) have put it through.
I was a little curious if other people love it as much as I do so for the past few months, whenever I spotted one I asked the person closest to the bag (usually the owner, sometimes an unsuspecting stranger) how they feel about it. UNANIMOUS LOVE!
And here’s the best part: You can win one of your own! LeSportsac sent the most beeyoooootiful Ryan Baby Bag to give away to a reader! I’m going to be completely honest here and tell you that I thought about keeping it for myself because it’s realllllly good looking. As in, sometimes I sideways glance at it and blush. The giveaway starts on Friday so be sure to come find out which one it is and enter as many times as you can! I’m rooting for you ;)
Do you have any great packing tips? Any experience with LeSportsac? I’ve also been keeping my makeup in a small LeSportsac bag for years and it’s served me really well. Do you have a bag or system you swear by?
*The LeSportsac bags were provided by the company, but the views are completely and enthusiastically my own*
