When she and her husband found out they were expecting a second child, it was a priority to make their firstborn, Sloan, a special room. They moved her to a larger space and by mixing pieces they already had on hand with some new touches, this is what they came up with:
Sloan’s Cool Feminine Room
They had the bed already and put it in this perfect little nook in the corner. How cozy and delicious is that? The triangle wall decals and the way Meg placed them add a cool urban vibe, but they maintained the area’s warmth with a picture ledge of books and paintings that Meg made. I love the Ikea lamp for late night reading (and have the same one for my desk!)
I’m such a fan of the white walls because the bright accessories are so gorgeous and as Sloan gets older they can switch it out, thought I think this room is gorgeous even for a teenager.
I mean, she’s got a dresser glammed up with gold pulls, a ghost chair, and a retro pink telephone!
Thank you so much for sharing Meg! If you want to see more details and sources, check out Meg’s post here and see more of her beautiful home here. And if you want some of that gorgeousness in your own home, see her art here. I have my eye on some of those sold out beauties…
